 Stuttgart. Presenting a high-performance mid-engined concept sports car with ultra-efficient, low-emission drive technology, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is further increasing the Company’s competence in hybrid technology.

The 918 Spyder prototype combines high-tech racing features and electro-mobility to offer a fascinating range of qualities: An emission level of just 70 grams CO2 per kilometre on fuel consumption of three litres/100 kilometres (equal to 94 mpg imp) truly outstanding even for an ultra-compact city car, on the one hand, combined with the performance of a super sports car and acceleration from a standstill to 100 km/h in just under 3.2 seconds, top speed of 320 km/h (198 mph) plus, and a lap time on the Nordschleife of Nürburgring in less than 7:30 minutes, faster than even the Porsche Carrera GT, on the other.

The Audi ASQ is a futuristic concept car with advanced features that was designed by Juyoung Kim, a Transport Design graduate student of the Hongik University. It is yet another design that was developed in 2009 and added to those beautiful concepts waiting to attract the German car maker’s attention. The ASQ concept was proposed to Audi for the year 2040, with an imagination of a world witnessing the worst case scenario of global warming in recorded history, where sea levels have dramatically risen due to melting polar ice caps.

The concept vehicle is created to move on land and in river, depending on the circumstances it faces. This capability enables it to easily travel in water areas while subjected to environments where melted icebergs reach knee level. The Audi ASQ concept car has a streamlined and sleek design, which gives climate change a faint lining of silver. This ultra-advanced car, produced theoretically in 2040, will surely help to keep the occupants dry as the world steps into a presumed depressing future of global warming.
